Professional
info
As of now life is good. I'm working with PennyMac as a Senior Data Analyst. Earlier in the year I was with Wells Fargo as a Full Stack Developer in CLT. I finished up with Grad School in 2019 at New York University, with a Master's in Computer Science. I have interned in/conducted some Research professionally and done some work at New York University in the same (pretty much all listed below). Apart from that I also worked on the Graduate Students Board as the Treasurer.
Prior to my work/education in the States, I worked in Dubai for a bit and did my schooling in both Dubai and India. I was even involved in, what started off as a interest and hobby with a group of guys in, to a commercial "start-up"-esque offering dealing with drones and tweaking or constructing them for their usage in different fields.
No longer formally looking for jobs (as every worried Graduate) in Data Science, DevOps and Software Engineering, but now more so casually looking for better opportunities.

PennyMac Financials
2021 (Current)
Started in February as Senior Data Analyst with the Data Governance Team.
Wells Fargo
2020
Contracted via Euclid Innovations. Started working here around Christmas time as a Full Stack Dev. Here I dug deeper into the coding and Software Engineering aspect of my career.
I am working on a CRM system that maintains financial deals, transactions, contracts, contacts, and organizational communication. The stack is the MEAN/MERN stack, which revolves around Angular, React, MongoDB, MySQL Express and NodeJS. All the code is in Java/JavaScript for the backend/frontend respectively. For the data more transactional and used everyday, we chose to go with MySQL to get rid of the overhead in updating NoSQL.
All the CI/CD, code base etc. is on AWS with the instance deployed on EC2.

Coming back to this place after my degree was a blessing to say the least. Incredible learning experience for what it's like working straight outta the university gates.
I worked as a Software Developer with the Reltio Insights team, i.e, the team in charge of the analytics side of the platform, somewhat similar to the data scientist role I was a part of. I am primarily coding in Java and Scala.
The work I had primarily done so far was on Data Exports/ Data Imports, building functionality alongside GCS and S3, writing tests for the code using mockito etc., bug fixes for clients and a lot of basic stuff. But the amount I have picked up is incredible. Simple things like git's true functionality, working alongside QA, code collaborations, building using automations and pipelines, working long hours just for the tiniest fixes in the CI/CD pipelines or something super obvious. Truly worth it.

2018
The work here revolved around Master Data Management, which is a critical area in Data Analytics. I was performing Research in Big Data and Machine Learning. My work involved running Unsupervised Clustering (K-means), Attribute Identification, Data Classification based on Real-time stream of Data, Adhering to GDPR standards etc. the list goes on.
This was an immense learning experience and quite the jump for me professionally and in my research experience to see how research and simple optimizing techniques impact a company's platform holistically.
New York University, New York
2018
I was a Teacher's Assistant for a Graduate Course in Big Data and Machine Learning. I was given this job as I had done some prior research with the professor and had done well on the course too.
It in itself was a learning experience as you come across the various tools and techniques to solve a problem with respect to each student's approach and in that, can learn a thing or two!
I also served as the Treasurer of the Graduate Student's Board at NYU.
Protiviti Inc., Dubai
2016
This was my stepping stone into working and gaining actual work experience. Of course it was during my sophomore-junior days so I wasn't given a lot of extensive work. Primarily worked on some code cleaning and debugging, monitoring data logs etc. to some easier clerical work like Data storage.
It was a good start to coding in a work environment!
